Porto Velho

Puerto Velho is the capital city of the state of Rondônia. This municipality occupies most of the border between the Amazonas and Rondônia and it is located on the eastern shore of the Madeir River.
Puerto Velho has equatorial climate where you can find beautiful tropical rainforest.
Culturally Puerto Velho, resembling other municipalities of Northern Brazil, is rich in traditions and festivals which are reflected in the different folk dances like the boi-bumbá and the quadrilha.
