Feira de Santana

In the state of Bahía lies the city of Feira de Santana that is approximately 115 kilometers away from Salvador, which is the capital of this state. It is in the midst of one of the most important road crossings in the northeastern Brazil and for this reason it is a place of transit for many travelers who move from the south and central Brazil to Salvador.
The population of Feira de Santana offers varied options for leisure and culture. There are different social clubs, cinemas, theatres and museums, among other interesting sites in this city in Brazil.
The city has several major tourist attractions such as the cowboy statue representing those laborers who crossed the region bringing their castle. Senhora Sant'Ana is one of the festivals in Feira de Santana that takes place in the second week of January. Micareta is another festivity in this destination and it is held 15 days after Passover. The Festival of Violeiros and the Donkey Race are other Feira de Santana attractions.
